A U.S. official has confirmed that the tether of a Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) aerostat was broken during the Oct. 28 incident.
F-16s from Holloman Air Force Base are the first in the U.S. Air Force F-16 fleet to go through the aircraft purification process Nov. 3.

Lockheed Martin has closed its acquisition of Sikorsky Aircraft. The helicopter manufacturer will henceforth be known as Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company.
