16th ACCS flies final local sortie

The 16th Airborne Command and Control Squadron (ACCS) flew its final local sortie on Sept. 8 at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.

An E-8C Joint STARS operated by an aircrew from the 116th Airborne Command and Control Squadron (ACCS), 461st Air Control Wing, returns from a mission at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, Sept. 8, 2022. F-15E to get Digital GPS Anti-jam Receiver

The U.S. Air Force has tasked BAE Systems with the installation of the Digital GPS Anti-jam Receiver (DIGAR) on the F-15E.

NASAMS fires AIM-9X, AMRAAM, and AMRAAM-ER in first-of-its kind capability demonstration

In partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory Strategic Development Planning and Experimentation (SDPE) office, Raytheon Missiles & Defense conducted a first-of-its kind Air Base Air Defense experiment in which AIM-9X, AMRAAM, and AMRAAM-ER were fired from NASAMS.

Mageshima island FCLP proposal moves forward with land sales

The Japanese government is set to acquire the site of an abandoned school and school dormitory on Mageshima island as part of the plan to turn the island into a field carrier landing practice (FCLP) site for the U.S. Navy.
