U.S. clears sale of AIM-9X, AGM-84 missiles to Taiwan
The U.S. government has cleared the sale of 60 AGM-84L-1 Harpoon Block II missiles and 100 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder missiles to Taiwan on Sept. 2.

Methyl salicylate was sprayed on a F-15E to test its chemical/biological protective capability
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory recently carried out an in-flight vapor purge test in a F-15E last month. The objective of the test by the 711th Human Performance Wing was to evaluate cockpit environmental conditions after a chemical weapon attack.

Keel Laying for future USS Enterprise
Major construction for the future USS Enterprise, the third Gerald R. Ford-Class aircraft carrier, has started after the keel was lay at the HII-Newport News Shipyard (NNS), in Newport News on Aug. 23.
