DARPA sourcing for low-cost sensors to monitor air targets in Arctic Circle

H/T to Military Aerospace. DARPA is soliciting the industry for a series of low-cost, rapidly-deployable, environmentally friendly, unmanned sensor systems that can detect, track and identify air, surface and subsurface targets from above the Arctic Circle.

First-ever joint airborne jump for JGSDF, U.S. Army paratroopers

Soldiers from U.S. Army Alaska’s 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division and the JGSDF’s 3rd Battalion, 1st Airborne Brigade, Central Readiness Force, conducted a platoon level airborne jump during Exercise North Wind 2015 on Feb. 21.
