A student pilot managed to land his F-16C, #89-2034, after the jet lost half of its right wing during a mid-air collision with his instructor’s jet. The instructor ejected safely.

A fire broke out that severely damage General Electric’s propeller facility in Britain, however, Lockheed Martin is confident that the accident will not have any impact to production of its C-130J.
For the remarkable feat of landing his AV-8B safely on board USS Bataan when its nose wheel failed to extend, Capt. William Mahoney was recently awarded the Marine Corps Air Medal.
