BAE Systems starts upgrade of South Korean F-16s

BAE Systems has begun to upgrade the first two of 134 RoKAF F-16s. Modification work is being carried out at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas.

AN/ASQ-236 AESA SAR pod tested on B-52

A B-52 assigned to the 307th Bomb Wing was used to test the AN/ASQ-236 AESA synthetic aperture radar pod on Apr. 21. Previously only the F-15E is cleared to carry the pod.

Iraqi helicopter crashes during airborne assault on Tikrit

An eye witness in Tikrit said three Iraqi military helicopters launched an airborne special forces assault in the city on Jun. 26 and one crashed-landed.
