Syrian rebels seize helicopter base east of Damascus
Syrian rebels said on Sunday that they had captured a helicopter base east of Damascus. The director of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdul-Rahman, said rebels seized control of the Marj al-Sultan base on the outskirts of Damascus on Sunday morning.

China to launch indigenous aircraft carrier in 2013
A Hong Kong magazine said China will launch it’s first indigenous aircraft carrier next year and the ship will be commissioned between 2015 and 2016.

India tested a Advanced Air Defence (AAD) ballistic missile interceptor on Friday and Avinash Chander, Chief Controller (Missiles and Strategic Systems), DRDO, said India was ready to deploy the system in the National Capital Region by 2014.
