Thailand wants to buy 8 F-35s, claims its cheaper than Gripen

The head of Royal Thai Air Force, ACM Napadej Dhupatemiya, revealed that the flying branch wishes to buy eight F-35 fighters and a panel will be set up to initiate the purchase.

Lockheed Martin to design and develop F-35 variant for foreign customer

The Pentagon announced on Dec. 27 that Lockheed Martin has been awarded $49 million for the “design and development of a Joint Strike Fighter aircraft variant tailored for an unspecified Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer.”
