USS Bonhomme Richard starts first patrol as forward deployed amphibious assault ship
USS Bonhomme Richard left Sasebo, Japan on Aug. 10 to begin its first patrol as the U.S. Navy’s only permanently forward deployed amphibious assault ship.

CC-130J damaged during maintenance
A RCAF C-130J was damaged while it was jacked up for maintenance at CFB Trenton on Jul. 1. One of the landing gear door was damaged and the right wing jack pierced the wing.
