Aviakon and Sagem to upgrade Ukrainian Mi-24

Ukraine’s Mi-24 helicopters will be modernized by state firm Aviakon and Sagem. Sagem will install new on-board computer, multifunction displays, an optoelectronic station, an inertial-satellite navigation system, and a digital map generator.

Taiwan suspends test-firing of Sparrow missiles

Taiwan has suspended the testing of AIM/RIM-7 Sparrow missiles after three failures during an exercise in January last year.

North Korea deploys helicopters to border

North Korea has shifted some helicopters to a base near the disputed Baengnyeong Island. These include upgraded Mi-2 as well as Mi-4 and Mi-8 helicopters.

USAF found root cause of F-22’s oxygen problems, a squadron to deploy to Kadena
