HSM-51 carried out joint training with VX-51 of JMSDF

HSM-51 and VX-51 of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) carried their first joint training exercise on Sept. 14.

PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 14, 2021) – An MH-60R assigned to the “Warlords” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51, front, and an SH-60K assigned to the “Mighty 59” of Air Development Squadron (VX) 51 conduct bi-lateral exercises. HSM-51 is assigned to Commander, Task Force 70 forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific. Shortage of tea onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth averted thanks to Canadians

The captain of HMCS Winnipeg gave three boxes of tea bags to Commodore Steve Moorhouse, Commander of the UK Carrier Strike Group, after he found out that the flag area on aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth had run out of teabags.

The Vanilla unmanned aircraft system has set a new world record for unrefueled, internal combustion endurance of an unmanned aircraft on Oct. 2.

A Vanilla unmanned aircraft system launches from the Rogers Dry Lakebed on Edwards Air Force Base, California, Sept. 24.
