USMC completes IOT&E of APKWS

The U.S. Marine Corps completed the Initial Operational Test and Evaluation phase of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) program and the weapon is expected to be operational in Afghanistan this month.

Iraqi insurgents destroyed 4 Apaches using photos downloaded from Internet

Four AH-64s that arrived in Iraq in 2007 were destroyed by a mortar attack after soldiers took their pictures and uploaded them on the Internet. Insurgents were able to extract the geo-tags from the photos and determine the exact location of the Apaches.
