1st SFG (A) receives training on the FIM-92

OKINAWA, Japan – A U.S. Army Green Beret with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), fires a training round with the Stinger Missile System during a field exercise hosted by the Marine Low Altitude Air Defense Unit on Sept. 9, 2021 at Okinawa, Japan. This realistic training familiarizes Green Berets with the portable air-defense system and gives them the ability to rapidly deploy it in diverse environments across the Indo-Pacific. 495th Fighter Squadron reactivated as F-35A unit

The 48th Fighter Wing reactivated the 495th Fighter Squadron at exactly 8:49 and 50 seconds on Oct. 1. The 495th will be the first F-35A squadron for U.S. Air Forces in Europe.

VP-10 host Manny Pacquiao

Former boxing champion and current Senator of the Philippeins, Manny Pacquiao, flew on board a U.S. Navy P-8A for a Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) mission recently.

CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines (Sept. 15, 2021) Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao poses with Supreme Court Justice Alexander Gesmundo, Director Kelia Cummings of the Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, and Combat Aircrew 7 of Patrol Squadron (VP) 10 before a flight to demonstrate the maritime capabilities of the US Navy’s P-8A Poseidon. VP-10, based out of Naval Air Station Jacksonville, is currently operating from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. AVIC AHL appears in animated promotional video

China’s Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has released a new animated promotional video regarding its transport aircraft and helicopters. In it, the company showcased its Advanced Heavy Lifter, a heavy-lift helicopter that China is developing with Russian Helicopters.

Australia buying another EA-18G to replace A46-311

The U.S. government has approved the sale of one Boeing EA-18G electronic attack jet to Australia. This new jet will replace A46-311 that was lost in an accident at Nellis Air Force Base on Jan. 27, 2018.
