USAF to cut five A-10 squadrons

Five A-10 squadrons will go as the U.S. Air Force tighten its belt. The squadrons that will deactivate consists of one active-duty, one Reserve and three National Guard units.

Mitsubishi Electric found to have overcharge on Type 03 Chu-SAM

Japan’s Defense Ministry have suspended Mitsubishi Electric Corp. from bidding for contracts after it was found that the company had overcharged the Defense Ministry for designing the Type 03 medium-range surface-to-air missile.

Heron TP UAV crashed, possible human error

An Israeli Air Force Heron TP UAV crashed near Tel Nof Air Force Base on Sunday. Preliminary investigation found that human error was the cause of the crash.

Taiwan orders 440 AN/SSQ-53F sonobuoys

Taiwan has purchased 440 AN/SSQ-53F sonobuoys, these are expected to be used by its fleet of P-3Cs entering service this year.
