The U.S. Marine Corp has declared the AH-1Z Cobra operational. The first deployment of the AH-1Z is scheduled for later this year with a Marine Expeditionary Unit.

Two Colombian UH-1H helicopters collided and crashed in central Colombia on Monday. Five people, including a captain and a Mexican student pilot, were killed.

Raytheon Awarded $42 Million Contract for U.S. Air Force HH-60G FLIRs

Raytheon has been awarded a $42 million U.S. Air Force contract for additional AN/AAQ-29A forward looking infrared imaging systems for installation on Pave Hawk HH-60G helicopters.
