Gates, Young clashed over Humvees and senors for U-2

Singapore replaces Rapier with SPYDER-SR, Searcher with Heron 1

Singapore’s Defense Minister Teo Chee Hean told Parliament that the 30-year old Rapier air defense system will be replaced with the new SPYDER-SR. Singapore will also take delivery of the Heron 1 UAV this year, these will replace the RSAF’s Searcher UAVs.
