Deptula: J-20 first flight a “wake-up call”

Retired USAF Lt. Gen David Deptula said the emergence of the Chengdu J-20 is a “wake-up call” and decision-makers should “reconsider the closure of the F-22 [production] line.”

Afghan Air Force Reaches Milestone: 2,000 C-27 Hours Flown

The Afghan Air Force, with NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan support, reached 2,000 hours of flight time in the C-27A Spartan aircraft during a passenger transport mission from Kabul to the Kandahar Feb. 10.

AIDC to develop jet trainer using IDF as base

With the Taiwanese Air Force looking for an advance jet trainer to replace its AT-3 and F-5, AIDC is planning to compete against the T-50 using a modified version of the IDF.

VX-31 Dust Devils retro-painted F/A-18

To celebrate the Centennial of Naval Aviation, VX-31 decided to paint one of their F/A-18s in a retro-paint scheme used by A-4C Skyhawks at NAF China Lake in the 1960s.
