Maiden flight of XQ-67A

The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA-ASI) celebrated a significant milestone on Feb. 28, with the successful maiden flight of the XQ-67A Off-Board Sensing Station (OBSS) at Gray Butte Field Airport, California. This event marks the first flight of an aircraft developed under the Low-Cost Attritable Aircraft Platform Sharing (LCAAPS) program, a groundbreaking initiative aiming to revolutionize unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) development.

USAF reveals AGM-183A with live warhead in Guam

Andersen Air Force Base recently hosted a comprehensive hypersonic weapon familiarization training for its B-52 Stratofortress bomber crews. The training focused on operational concepts for the AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) and the future Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile (HACM).

Sikorsky soars towards future with Hybrid-Electric VTOL demonstrator

Sikorsky, a leading rotorcraft manufacturer under Lockheed Martin, has announced a bold venture into the future of vertical flight with its plans to develop a family of next-generation Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) systems. 30th anniversary of Exercise Cope Tiger

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Exercise Cope Tiger, a cornerstone of regional security cooperation in Southeast Asia. The first iteration of this annual trilateral large force aerial exercise took place in 1995, bringing together the United States Air Force (USAF), Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) in Thailand.

Project Convergence Capstone 4

Project Convergence Capstone 4 (PC-C4), a U.S. Army-led experiment, is testing the interoperability of various Joint and Multinational Layered Air and Missile Defense systems. This iteration focuses on leveraging data from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and manned aircraft to guide the engagement of ground-based missile systems against airborne threats.
