NATO Pilots test mettle in high-G dogfights at Ramstein 1v1

The skies over Ramstein Air Base, Germany, were abuzz with activity recently as NATO pilots participated in Ramstein 1v1, a unique exercise focused on honing basic fighter maneuvers (BFM). This first-of-its-kind event, hosted by U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA), saw 37 aircraft from nine NATO countries engage in simulated dogfights, pushing themselves and their machines to the limit.

RTAF to form selection committee for new fighter aircraft

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) is gearing up for a critical decision as it prepares to select its next generation of fighter jets. This month, a selection committee will be formed to evaluate proposals from two frontrunners: the Saab Gripen E/F and the Lockheed Martin F-16. This procurement plan valued at approximately $530 million aims to bolster the RTAF’s capabilities with a squadron of four new aircraft.

BAE Systems awarded $95 million contract to equip P-8A with advanced countermeasure pods

BAE Systems has secured a $95 million contract from the U.S. Navy to develop and produce electronic warfare (EW) pods for the P-8A Poseidon Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft. These pods will provide critical defensive capabilities for the Poseidon, enhancing its survivability in contested environments.
