USS Tripoli commissioned into service while fire onboard USS Bonhomme Richard has been extinguished
Two good news for the amphibious forces of the U.S. Navy. First, USS Tripoli (LHA 7), the second America-class amphibious assault ship, has been commissioned into service.

GULF OF MEXICO (July 15, 2019) The future amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7) transits the Gulf of Mexico during builder’s trials held in July 15, 2019. Tripoli is the third U.S. Navy ship named for the Battle of Derne in 1805, the first land battle the United States fought overseas. Tripoli is expected to be commissioned in the summer of 2020. Breaking: OH-58D crashes in Taiwan during Han Kuang exercise
A OH-58H helicopter, #616, has crashed at Hsinchu airbase at 15:28 local time today. Two people on board were sent to the hospital. The helicopter was participating in the annual Han Kuang exercise.
