VMFA-251 deactivates, moving to MCAS Cherry Point as F-35C unit

The U.S. Marine Corps has deactivated VMFA-251 at MCAS Beaufort on Apr. 23. The squadron will move to MCAS Cherry Point and stand up as a F-35C unit later.

Two F/A-18 Hornets assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251 (VMFA-251), Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, are positioned outside during a deactivation ceremony for VMFA-251 on April 23.
