Britain may quit F-35 fighter plan - Howarth
British Shadow Defence Minister Gerald Howarth said on Wednesday that Britain may make good on a threat to withdraw from the F-35 program unless the U.S. makes good its assurances over technology transfers.
A Ministry of Defence also said that Britain will not commit to the program unless it received U.S. assurances that it would be able to operate the aircraft independently.
