Time is running out for Canadian soldiers and aircrew to shift from a military near Dubai after UAE’s demands from Ottawa was not met.
The camp has been a staging point for Canadian troops heading to Afghanistan for many years.
For the past several months, UAE had demanded more landing rights in Canada for its Emirates and Eithad airlines. However, Canada rejected the request. Thus UAE informed Canada in a secret meeting in Paris this September that negotiations have failed.
