Canada has confirmed that one of its Chinook helicopters was shot down in Afghanistan in August but is perplexed on how it was shot down.
Col. Paul Prevost, the Canadian wing commander, said: “What we cannot find out exactly is the weapon that was used on it. You have to understand the airplane was burned within the following minutes.”
