The Pentagon has promised the family of late Maj. Troy Gilbert that it will continue to search for his remains in Iraq after he was killed in a F-16 accident in 2006.
He was providing close air support to surrounded special operations troops in north of Baghdad when the tail of his jet struck the ground. His body was removed by insurgents after the crash site.
