Spec-ops aviator reveals details on stealth Black Hawk

A former special operations aviator told Army Times that the Black Hawk used in the Osama raid was modified for stealth missions back ten years ago.

U.S. Special Operations Command worked with the Lockheed-Martin Skunk Works division to apply radar-evading capability to the MH-60. Boeing was later given a contract to modify several aircraft.

They were based in Nevada and MH-60 Black Hawk crews from the 160th SOAR’s 1st Battalion would rotate to Nevada to train on the stealthy aircraft, he said.
