A team from Fleet Readiness Center South West (FRCSW) at Naval Air Station North Island was asked to redesign the hook point for the X-47B after tests found that the original hook was inadequate during roll-in arrestment tests.
The team took up the challenge and managed to produced the redesigned part in less than two months.
