India’s Air Force chief says Apache to stay with his service for air-to-air missions

India’s Air Force chief N A K Browne says 22 Apache helicopters which are in the process of being acquired will not be going to the Army.

The Indian defense ministry recently allowed the Army to have attack helicopters and said that all future acquisitions will be for it.

Browne said India’s Apaches will not be limited to taking out enemy armor but also radar stations and for air-to-air missions.
