Chief of Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, told the Tasnim News Agency that there are plans to clone the Phalanx close-in weapon system (CIWS).

“The research work has now started on the Phalanx system to build its Iranian model,” Sayyari said.
So far, Iranian engineers have managed to produce a six-barrel Gatling gun dubbed “Moharram”.
