DARPA has launched its System of Systems (SoS) Integration Technology and Experimentation (SoSITE) program that uses a converted cargo plane to carry the weapons and sensors for the F-35.
It is interesting to note that in the video, the unmanned aerial vehicles are described as recoverable. This will tie the SoSITE program to DARPA’s “Aircraft carrier in the sky” project.
