Italy’s F-35As could be the first to make the transatlantic crossing

Italy plans to send two of its locally-assembled F-35As to Luke Air Force Base in Arizona early next year, this could be the first transatlantic crossing for the fighter.

In order to accomplish that, the Italian Air Force would likely depend on its KC-767 to provide refueling along the way.
