Russia has deployed seven Mi-24P attack and Mi-8MT transport helicopters to reinforce its military base in Armenia, the Southern Military District said in a press release.

The helicopters will join Russia MiG-29s already deployed at Erebuni airbase. An additional batch of helicopters is expected to reach the base by the end of the year, the SMD said.
