U.S. veteran fighter pilots had reunion with Vietnamese counterparts in Hanoi

The largest gathering of American and Vietnamese fighter pilots from the Vietnam War took place at Intercontinental Hotel, Hanoi on Apr. 13.

The reunion was organized by retired USMC Col. Charlie Tutt and retired Lt. Gen. Nguyen Duc Soat. Tutt came to know Soat while working for Delta Airlines.

Twelve Americans attended the event, including several MiG killers such as Pete Pettigrew and Curt Dose.

Four dogfights that took place during the war was discussed during the event, with the American and Vietnamese pilots each giving their own side of the story.
