In 2019, Russia plans to put into orbit a new electro-optical spy satellite to replace the current Persona reconnaissance satellites.

The new satellite is called Hrazdan and a second and third satellite will go into orbit in 2022 and 2024 respectively.
An anonymous source told Kommersant that the new generation spy satellite will have a primary mirror that is 2 meters wide.
