Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah says the government is leaning towards buying the European SAMP/T air defense missile system to plug a gap in its air defenses.

It learned from government sources that negotiations between Eurosam consortium and Turkey’s military procurement agency, the undersecretariat for the Defense Industry (SSM) and National Defense Ministry have been ongoing.
