The Chosunilbo says China has told South Korea of its wish to inspect the American THAAD air defense missile battery located in South Korea.

The news outlet quoted an anonymous government official as saying that Beijing is making the demand via various channels and the purpose of the inspection is to determine if the AN/TPY-2 can spy on Chinese activities.
