XS-1 will take-off and land at Cape Canaveral

DARPA’s Experimental Spaceplane (XS-1) program will be using Cape Canaveral as the base to test the spaceplane with Boeing.

Rick Weiss, a DARPA spokesperson, did not elaborate on which launchpad the XS-1 will be using. Once in orbit, the XS-1 has the option of landing back at Kennedy Space Center’s Shuttle Landing Facility, or the Skid Strip at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
