RMAF shortlists four models of aircraft for its MPA requirements

According to Jane’s the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has narrowed down to four aircraft types that meets its Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) requirements.

The four types were showed in a recent conference slide in Singapore. They are: CN295, the ATR 72MP, the P-8A, and the CN-235.

Speaking at the conference, RMAF’s Head of Staff for Air Region 1 Headquarters, Brigadier General Yazid Bin Arshad, added that the service is willing to consider other contenders.
