Indian announced on May 28 that its Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has approved a plan to develop a Long Range Dual Band Infrared Imaging Search and Track System (IRST) for Su-30MKI.
The new system will replace the Russian OLS-30 laser-optical IRST and India will procure at least 100 sets.
