Taiwan’s new F-16s will be Block 70 with IRST and CFTs

The United States is expected to announce a deal to sell 66 new F-16s to Taiwan by end of this month.

The jets will be powered by General Electric F110-GE-129 engines.

The U.S. has also agreed to allow them to be installed with conformal fuel tanks (CFT).

It will also boost its detection capability of the fighters by allowing the export of IRST to Taiwan.
