South Korea building new light aircraft carrier to operate F-35Bs

News outlets in South Korea are reporting that Seoul has decided to build a 30,000-ton light aircraft carrier capable of operating 16 F-35Bs.

At 250 meters long, it will be longer than Japan’s Izumo-class helicopter carriers, 1.5 times as large as the Dokdo-class.
