Envitech Marine Consultants Private Limited, an Indian company that had hoped to acquired INS Viraat and turn it into a museum, will file an appeal to the Supreme Court to save the aircraft carrier from being broken up.

The Ministry of Defense told a high court that the ship’s current owners, Shree Ram Group of Industries, is unwilling to sell it away. The company’s chairman had earlier said on TV that he was willing to sell the warship to the highest bidder.
