Australia addresses MRH90 problems

At the Shephard Heli-Pacific conference on Australia’s Gold Coast on May 27, the Australian Defense Force outlines its strategy to resolve numerous problems with the MRH90 helicopter.

Besides defects with cabin floors, windscreens, main gear box and machine gun mounts.  Maintenance is a big issue due to an inconsistent supply chain.

  1. An inconsistent supply chain. I think not. A ridicuous supply chain that requires Australian Aerospace (AA) to buy everything through EC or its partner NHI, that routes through 5 sets of hands and thus ensures marvellous profit return for the Europeans, and with it, bulging sales. All the time, AA continues to be the front to defence and DMO, whilst the pockets are lined in Europe. The Excom in Australian Aerospace (mostly expats from Europe) will do nothing to upset their European masters, and thus, these issues will never be resolved. Whilst the Excom in EC are sunning themselves on the beaches of the Med, us poor sods in Australia have nothing to rely on when flood and cyclone descend upon us. Shame on you AA for your part in this masquerade, and shame on you ADF and DMO for continuing to believe that the Europeans will actually resolve these issues. We have bought a dud, and have been and continue to be, taken for a ride by Eurocopter. If only the brave person who canned Seasprite was still around !
