Nixon administration had plans to nuke North Korea

Declassified documents revealed that the Nixon administration had planned to use tactical nuclear weapons on North Korea after a U.S. aircraft was shot down by the North in 1969.

The “Freedom Drop” plan would see the United States using tactical nuclear weapons to destroy military command centers, airfields and naval bases in North Korea.
