RAF chief says A400M “Grizzly” will enter service with that name over (his) dead body

RAF chief, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, said bluntly at Farnborough that the new name for the A400M will not be acceptable to him.

EADS officials had named prototypes of the airlifter as “Grizzly” during the show.

“It has no provenance, no acceptance and it will enter RAF service with that name over my dead body,” Dalton said.
