India’s Comptroller highlights problems with Naval aviation

India’s Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) said on Tuesday highlighted problems with the country’s naval aviation fleet.


Their report said the Sea Harrier fleet had only 42 percent of the aircraft available during the audit period and eight accidents involving the aircraft took place during the period.

They also found fault over the purchase of UH-3H helicopters from the US for Rs 182.14 crore.

The six aircraft were life-expired and had many defects.
