U.S. Army Col. loses job after complaining about daily briefings

A U.S. Army colonel was fired from his job as a staff officer with the International Security Assistance Force’s Joint Command in Afghanistan after he wrote an op-ed in UPI criticizing the daily briefings over there.

Lawrence Sellin, a 61-year old reservist from New Jersey, said his peers spend more time “tinkering with PowerPoint slides to conform with the idiosyncrasies of cognitively challenged generals in order to spoon-feed them information” then winning the war.
