British Prime Minister David Cameron had avoided an attack by the Taliban on his Chinook helicopter during his visit to Afghanistan.
A Taliban spokesman told the BBC they had planned to launch the attack from their base at Washir in the Helmand province.
Lucky for Cameron, his helicopter was diverted shortly after airborne when Taliban radio messages about the planned attack were intercepted by an intelligence unit.
