Lockheed Martin has fixed the optical block switch in the THAAD interceptor, paving the way for production to be continued.
The device prevents an accidental launch of the interceptor. The U.S. Missile Defense Agency demanded that the faulty part be redesigned before it buys additional missiles.
Lockheed said the redesign was completed between late September and early October.
