A Chinese businessman who had tried to bid for HMS Invincible online on the British government’s auction site had failed to win the bid.
Lam Kin-bong said his offer was much higher than the winner of the bid, a Turkish ship recycling factory.
Lam was told by the British military that he had “failed to provide all the necessary information.”
